WHO WE ARE
The Peterwhite project took shape in the year 2000, in Serra da Cantareira, as a result of years of dedication and experience with the creation of the Irish Setter breed, and other examples of breeds, like the Cocker Spaniel, the Golden Retriever and the German Shepherd. Now its owners are dedicated to the creation of the Golden Retriever breed, along with a team of skilled professionals, making this activity a serious and ethical work.
The relevant researches to dog-lovers, such as genetics, as well as the knowledge of modern scientific technologies make it possible to breed a highly qualified selection, which reflects itself in the result of all the work of the Peterwhite project. Objectives.
The Peterwhite project is based on a technology which involves expertise, in other words, scientific reasoning for the development of our breeding. This requires, more than just appreciation of the fine examples and bets of ideals mating, a deep study based on researches and an advisory body of competent professionals, determining a promising quality of our dogs. Despite seemingly easy and simple, we are talking about a complex process which requires dedication, patience, seriousness and professionalism.
Our fundamental objective is based on the ethics, in the mission of development and maintainance of the standard of the quality of the real breed, in addition to the disputes of classifications in competitions and championships, although we fully recognize the importance and value of these of course.
So, there’s the care in not treating the creation only as a vehicle for competition between the breeders but treating the competition as something different, acquiring and sharing information, creating partnerships with some breeders who have goals and postures similar to ours.
This idea, actually, should be awareness of all breeders who care effectively to improve and disseminate the best of breed, which is the only possibility to ensure the perpetuation of it.
